"ADHD is not a disorder or disease or a syndrome or chemical imbalance of the brain. It is not over-diagnosed, under-diagnosed, or mis-diagnosed. It doesn't exist in 3%, or 5%, or 10% of the population. In fact, it doesn't exist at all. It's 100% fraud."

I'm the publisher of the Parental Intelligence Newsletter.
I come originally from London, England, but now live in Canberra, the beautiful capital city of Australia, with my wife, Mary, and we have two wonderful children, Bronwyn and Patrick.
Bronnie was born in Sydney, Australia, in 1985, and is currently living in Sydney, having graduated from university in Canberra in 2008 with a double degree in Arts and Law and a degree in Applied Science in Forensics. Pat was born in London, England, in 1995, and has been self-educated at home since 2003.
For most of the time since I became a parent, my primary occupation has been 'stay-at-home dad' - for many years it was my full time 24/7 occupation. A strange life in many ways - certainly an unusual one - but I feel both grateful and honoured to have been given the opportunity to be so deeply involved in parenting my children.
Now that my daughter is in her twenties and living away from home and my son is a teenager, I no longer refer to myself as a 'stay-at-home dad', but I'm still home based for other reasons. Primarily, so that I can adequately supervise my son's education.
What I call 'parental intelligence' is, in my perception, what goes on in that space between our ears when we think of our children and our relationships with our children - 'intelligence' both in the sense that I believe parenting has its own unique place in the theory of 'multiple intelligences' and in the sense that it's the gathering of information and knowledge.
I've been publishing my Parental Intelligence Newsletter in various formats since August 2002. It started life as a weekly email, went online in March 2004 and become a monthly publication soon after that. I like to think of it as my personal contribution to 'making the world a better place'!
I hope my newsletter will help you enjoy your experience of parenthood and that it will, through you, contribute to the happiness and success of your children.
